Akshat hits 142
BANGALORE: Akshat Reddy hammered 142 and helped South take 150 run lead over North in the Col. Hemu Adhikari inter-zonal under-19 cricket final at the RSI grounds here on Tuesday.
Reddy’s knock included 23 fours and it enabled South to post a first innings total of 287 in reply to North’s 137.
North, in its second knock, made 138 for two wickets at close on the second day. Pery was unbeaten on 55.
The scores:
Final: North 137 in 57.1 overs and 138 for two in 31 overs. (Pery 55 n.o.) vs. South 287 in 67.3 overs (Akshat Reddy 142, Manish Pandey 44).
Third place match: East 424 in 127.4 Overs (S. Chatterjee 99, S.S. Mandal 62, Saurav Tiwary 88, Rishav Das 56) vs. AIU 209 for eight in 50 Overs (Vipul Kumar 47).
