Thrissur: Banks in the district disbursed loans to the tune of Rs.5,024.27 crore in 2007-08. The priority sector got Rs.3,593.75 crore and non-priority sectors Rs.1,430.52 crore as against Rs.2,873.95 crore and Rs.1,378.49 crore in the previous year. A banking review meeting, chaired by District Collector V.K. Baby, disclosed this on Wednesday. — Staff Reporter
