TRS launches mass contact programme

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Wednesday launched its mass contact campaign in Adilabad district on Wednesday simultaneously with the exercise to elect its grassroots level committees.

“The strategy is to strengthen the party from lowest level upwards and to integrate the support of all the scattered sections of society who are Telangana protagonists,” said Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao.

Addressing the extended general body meeting of the party here, the TRS leader said rectification of past mistakes was essential in order to attain the goal of a separate Telangana.

Talking about the mass contact exercise in detail, Mr. Harish Rao said many sections in society like insurance agents, quacks, trade unions related to auto and lorry drivers had direct relations with the common man.

Cultivating these sections politically would serve the TRS to contact masses at the grassroots level, he pointed out.
