Signature campaign for nuclear deal

CHANDIGARH: The general secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Gurbinder Singh Atwal, on Wednesday announced that he would launch a State-wide signature campaign to promote public awareness in support of the proposed civil nuclear deal with the US.

Talking to media persons here, Mr. Atwal said that signing of the n-deal was in the interest of the country, especially for development of states like Punjab. He said some vested interests were unnecessarily engaged in creating doubts among the public, who were not aware of the real issues.
