Teachers stage demo

PUDUCHERRY: The Teachers’ Association, along with the Puducherry Graduate Teachers’ Association, on Wednesday staged a demonstration to demand Assured Career Progression (ACP) and promotions.

The associations said in a release that the government had not implemented ACP since 1999. The Chief Minister and the Education Minister had assured the teachers to bring in ACP in 2007, but nothing had moved till now.
