“Ghazipur plant to open in July”

NEW DELHI: The Ghazipur meat processing plant, now undergoing a dry run, would be made operational in July to coincide with the closure of the Idgah slaughter house, said Municipal Corporation of Delhi Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta on Wednesday

“The livestock market would continue to function at Idgah to allow traders from neighbouring States to carry out their trade. For the first three months, slaughtering at the Ghazipur abattoir would be allowed free of charge to promote its usage,” he said.
