Second polygraph test on Nupur
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Nupur, wife of dentist Rajesh Talwar, was subjected to a second lie-detector test by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday.
The test lasted over four hours during which Nupur was queried about events before and after her daughter Aarushi’s body was discovered in her Sector 25 house in Noida. The CBI said the second test was conducted as the first proved inconclusive.
A few days ago the agency had conducted a second polygraph test on Dr. Talwar as the first on him too was inconclusive.
Hearing today on bail plea
Dr. Talwar’s bail application is due to come up for hearing in the Sessions court in neighbouring Ghaziabad on Thursday. The CBI may oppose the bail application seeking continuation of his judicial custody. The agency is awaiting a report on his second lie-detector test. The dentist is at present lodged in Dasna jail in Ghaziabad.
In a related development, the National Human Rights Commission has served a notice on CBI seeking a reply to allegations by Krishna’s family that he had been kept in illegal custody by the agency. A similar notice has also reportedly been served on the Noida police.
