Kalyanaraman takes honours in men’s singles

Madurai: V. Kalyanaraman of TNSTC won the men’s singles title defeating R. Sivakumar of SDAT 11-8, 11-7, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9 in the final of the District-level open table tennis tournament organised by MDTTA at Madurai on Tuesday.

Other results: Semifinals: V. Kalyanaraman bt Jayakumar (SIT) 11-9, 7-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-7; R. Sivakumar bt R. Chandrasekar (BSNL) 11-7, 11-9, 11-6, 11-7.

Selection trials

The Ramanathapuram District Cricket Association will conduct trials for the selection of the Ramanathapuram District under-19 team at Seethakathy Sethupathy stadium, Ramanathapuram at 9 a.m. on June 29.
