Sherkoand, Mohini bag golds
BANGALORE: Amit Sherkoand of Haryana bagged the gold in the junior boys light middleweight section in the National Open taekwondo championship which got underway at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here on Wednesday.
The results:
Junior boys: Light middleweight: 1. Amit Sherokand (Har), 2. Mohd S. Butt (J&K), 3. Praveen Kumar Badal (Kar) and Jeevan Jadhav (Mah).
Junior girls: Light middleweight: 1. Mohini S. Kadam (Mah), 2. S.K. Harshita (Kar), 3. Mahalakshmi (TN) and Shivani (Pun).
Senior girls: Light weight: 1. Queen Thakur (Jhar), 2. Padnya S. Dhere (Mah ), 3. Poonam (Pun) and Tombisana Devi (CRPF).
