Senior clerk in vigilance net

KORAPUT: Kamalakanta Das, a senior clerk in tahsildar’s office at Pottangi, was caught by vigilance officials on Wednesday while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.150 from Padlam Dora, a resident of the village.

Das allegedly demanded the bribe for issuing a duplicate copy of his land patta, Padlam said. However, he approached vigilance officials. Das was caught by DSP Vigilance R.N. Pradhan.
