Intercity Express derails

WARANGAL: The Intercity Express towards Secunderabad was derailed at Chinthalpalli railway station here this evening throwing rail traffic between Kazipet and Vijayawada haywire. According to preliminary information reaching here, engine and three bogeys were derailed.

Some of the panic stricken passengers jumped out of the bogeys.

A rescue team from Kazipet was rushed to the spot. The passengers bound towards Warangal and beyond were forced to wait at Chinthalpalli.
