House site pattas: Collector’s warning

NAMAKKAL: The district administration will initiate stern action against middlemen if they interfered in the distribution of free house sites to poor families, Collector U. Sagayam warned.

The administration received complaints from the public that a few persons were collecting money from the people promising that they would get free house sites.The State Government provides house sites free of cost to people belonging Adi Dravidar and tribal families, backward class and most backward class families, listed below the poverty line, he said.

People could approach the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare office and district backward class office directly for obtaining information and to apply for free house site, he said.

The Collector asked the people not to approach middlemen for applying for free house sites.
