Banatwala’s death condoled

tributes: An all-party rally taken out in Malappuram on Thursday to condole the death of Indian Union Muslim League national president G.M. Banatwala.

MALAPPURAM: An all-party rally was taken out in Malappuram town on Thursday to mourn the death of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national president G.M. Banatwala.

Leaders of all major political parties took part in the rally and a condolence meeting was held on the KSRTC bus station premises.

P. Ubaidulla, IUML Malappuram constituency general secretary, presided over the meeting.

Malappuram municipal chairman Kiliyamannil Yakoob, CPI(M) district secretariat member P.P. Vasudevan, BJP district president K. Narayanan, Congress district secretary K.M. Girija, CPI district assistant secretary K. Mohandas, NCP district secretary P.P. Hamza, Indian National League district president K.P. Ismail, IUML State committee member P.V. Mohammed Areekode and IUML municipal general secretary V. Mustafa were among those who took part in the rally.
