A world of illusions
Staff Reporter
TIRUCHI: It will rain magic for next couple of weeks as famous magicians K. Lal and Junior K. Lal are all set to cast their spell on the city.
A 7 p.m. show on weekdays and two shows – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – on weekends at Devar Hall would take the audience into the world of magic through imposing stage settings and immaculate illusions.
Items like a car loaded with passengers vanishing on stage, lady floating on fan’s air, girl balancing on bamboo pole, twisting lady, Goddess ‘Durga’ coming to life from portrait, bisection of two ladies, girl vanishing into thin air, gradual disappearance of the Statue of Liberty, fight with a 45-feet-tall dragon, water bowl magic and a lot others promise to entertain beyond wildest imagination.
Eight-five-year-old K. Lal Vora has a record of over 21,000 stage shows. He has performed 3,200 shows in Japan and the International Bureau of Magicians awarded him with the title of ‘World’s fastest and greatest magician.’
