Russian housewives are already using cooking stoves run by energy harnessed from the sun, a Soviet scientist said. Russia also has solar refrigerators and solar power plants supplying 60-watt power to remote villages, Prof. Baum, of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, told a conference of scientists in Mont Louis, France.
