Hasif, Kamaraj shine

Hasif struck an unbeaten 113 to guide Suryabala Cricketers to a two-wicket win over Best VP XI Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-CDCA second division league for the Unidriveline Trophy here recently.

The scores: Second division: Best VP XI 230 in 48 overs (Kamaraj 107) lost to Suryabala Cricketers 232 for eight in 49.2 overs (Hasif 113 not out).

Third division: Kaleeswara CC 225 in 48.1 overs (A. Senthil Kumar 60, P. Suresh Kumar four for 28) lost to Rainbow Jeeva CC 229 for nine in 50 overs (R. Murali 93). Fourth division: Miracle CC 130 in 29.2 overs (Nelson 46, Aditya four for 36) bt Janaranjani SC 104 in 40.1 overs.

Power Star shines

At Namakkal, Power Star Cricket Club won both its league encounters in the Canara Bank-DCAN first division league recently.

The scores: Rajaganapathy CC (Namakkal) 132 in 37.2 overs (Mahendran 65) bt Ranjit CC ‘A’ (Tiruchengodu) 82 in 24.3 overs; Power Star CC (Namakkal) 173 in 32.5 overs (V. Suresh Kumar 40); Rajaganapathy CC (Namakkal) 200 in 29.1 overs (Mani 40) lost to Kanchana Memorial (Pallipalayam) 202 for six in 39.3 overs (P. Suresh 88 n.o., J. Kirupakaraja 44).
