Smart move

The NRI businessman Yusuf Ali was awarded Padmasri for his services.

His skill in shaping up of a wide network of establishments is known to many, but few know about his role in the SmartCity project. It was his close connections with the royal families and authorities in the UAE that helped Kerala bag the deal at a c rucial stage.

This contribution to the State was recalled at the function held to honour him in the city.
