Father kills daughter
B. Nithya, a one-and-half month old girl baby, was killed by her father G. Bharathiraja at Vazhavanthankottai here on Thursday. The police have registered a case of murder on a complaint lodged by the infant’s mother B. Kalaiyarasi. Sources said Bharathiraja (25) used to harass his wife Kalaiyarasi (19) demanding dowry and threatened to go for a second marriage. A quarrel is said to have broken between the couple on Thursday. In a fit of rage, he took the child and killed her by immersing the infant in a water drum. A hunt is on to nab him.
