Tirupati: As a prelude to its platinum jubilee celebrations (Amruthothsavam), the TTD management will be conducting ‘Metlotsavam’ from Alipiri on June 30. Thousands of devotees and members of various bhajan mandalis will converge at the foot of the hills (Padala Mandapam) and take part in the ‘Festival of Steps’, singing devotional numbers while trekking the seven hills. A spiritual congregation will be held at Tirumala Asthana Mandapam later.
