BHUBANESWAR: Seven teams of vigilance sleuths have detected huge assets “disproportionate” to known source income from Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra, a senior officer of Orissa Financial Services, who is financial advisor-cum-additional secretary to Water Resource Department. A statement released by vigilance wing of State police said simultaneous raids were conducted at his residence at Nayapalli, one apartment in Sriram Vihar, his office room at Rajiv Bhawan, his house at Jadumani Nagar at Nayagarh, paternal house at Nayagarh town and house of his father-in-law. “Assets so far detected, include a double-storeyed building at Nayapalli costing around Rs. 18 lakhs, one two-bed room apartment at Nayapalli costing around Rs. 5 lakhs and one single-storeyed building at Jadumani Nagar, Nayagarh town costing around Rs. 9 lakhs,” the release said. It further said cash Rs. 10,060, household articles worth over Rs. 4.97 lakh and bank balance were detected during the raid. It said documents seized during search relating to different Bank accounts were under scrutiny while search was continuing. However, sources said the market value of the properties could cross Rs. 1 crore.
