Bronze image unearthed

KARAIKAL: A bronze image of ‘Madurai Veeran’ was unearthed on the seashore at Keezhakasakudimedu village in Karaikal district on Tuesday.

Official sources told The Hindu on Wednesday that two milk vendors saw something glittering on the seashore and dug up the sand. They found the bronze image and handed it over to the Kottucherry police. — Special Correspondent
