District panchayat vice-president quits

KASARAGOD: District panchayat vice-president Muhammad Mubarak Haji of the Indian National League (INL) resigned from the post on Monday as per an understanding between coalition partners in the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF). Mr. Haji along with INL State leader N.A. Nellikkunnu submitted his resignation to the district panchayat secretary. Mr. Haji had been the vice-president for two-and-a-half years. — Staff Reporter
