Moga: A case has been registered against the newly elected panchayat leader and a member of Shiromani Akali Dal, Piara Singh, for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Dhilwan Wala village under the Baghapurana sub-division. Police said the mother of the 17-year-old victim alleged that Singh raped the girl when she was alone at her house on Thursday evening and threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to anyone. The girl, however, told her mother about the incident who then informed the police.
