MALCO organises eye camp for drivers

KOLLI HILLS: The Madras Aluminium Company Limited (MALCO) is organising a lot of programmes for sustainable development of the tribals in Kolli Hills.
Currently, MALCO is focussed on education, health and livelihood related project and programmes.
It organised an eye camp for drivers at Kolli Hills recently.
The programme was organised in coordination with Ashok Leyland, TVS, Agarval Eye Hospital and PCM transport, Salem.
More than 200 drivers and more than 300 people participated and benefited through the camp.
Dr. P.S. Radhakrishnan from Agarwal Eye Hospital, Erode, conducted the eye screening and treatment for the participants.
Mr. M. Kannan, Mines Manager, MALCO, inaugurated the camp.
Accidents
In his address, he told that the eye camp specially organised for drivers would contribute to reduce road accidents and also said that MALCO would provide spectacles for all required persons.
The programme was initiated under the guidance of Mr. Jijo Mon Mathew, officer, CSR, MALCO, Ms. Krupa, Associate Manager, CSR, MALCO and Mr. M. Krishnan, Assistant Mines Manager, MALCO.
Insurance policy
Mr. Saravan.J, Assistant Manager Marketing, Ashok Leyland, K. Jeyaprakash, TVS, and Mani, MD, PCM Transport, also participated in the camp and distributed insurance policy worth Rs. 1 lakh and prizes for all drivers.
