Privilege issue

PUDUCHERRY: National Council Member of the Communist Party of India and MLA R.Viswanathan on Friday said he had submitted a letter to the Speaker seeking a probe and action against the Chief Secretary for his “reported remarks against the Council of Ministers”.

Mr.Viswanathan told reporters here that he had mentioned in the letter that the “derogatory remarks” made at a review meeting amounted to “breach of privilege of the members, besides insulting the democratic traditions of the House”.
