House for freedom fighter’s widow

New Delhi: The Central government on Friday agreed before the Delhi High Court to allot a house to a freedom fighter’s 83-year-old widow whose belongings were allegedly thrown out by the Estate Department in a recent bid to evict her from a government quarter.

The counsel appearing for the Ministry of Home Affairs told the court that a house meant for the freedom fighters or their spouse would be allotted to Gyanwati Darwar for which she will have to fill up a form.
