BMS activists stage dharna

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Bharateeya Mazdoor Sangh district unit organised a dharna in front the Collectorate to protest against the anti-employees’ recommendations of the VIth Central Pay Commission.Along with BMS, the MES Employees Union affiliated to the Bharatiya Prathiraksha Mazdoor Sangh, an all-India organisation affiliated to BMS which gave the call for the agitational programme from June 23 to 27, participated in the dharna.Among other things, the BMS is demanding a minimum wage of Rs.10,000, annual increment to be hiked to a minimum of five per cent of basic pay.
