R. Srikumar appointed DG-IGP

Bangalore: R. Srikumar has been appointed the Director-General and Inspector-General of Police.
He had earlier held this position for a brief period from May 3 to May 28 during the Legislative Assembly elections, following a direction by the Election Commission of India. Mr. Srikumar, who belongs to the 1973 batch of the Indian Police Service, told The Hindu that he will take charge from the outgoing Director-General and Inspector-General of Police K.R. Srinivasan on Monday.
Present post
He is presently the Chairman and Managing Director of the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation.
