Umar Gul ruled out of Asia Cup

Karachi: Pakistan’s injured speedster Umar Gul has been ruled out of the Asia Cup.

He had walked away after bowling eight deliveries against India on Thursday.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board officials, Gul needs two weeks rest to recover from a bruised rib cartilage.

Earlier, Gul, on the sidelines of the Castrol Asian Cricketers awards function, had said, “I have some pain in the ribs, and it’s much better.

“I am waiting for the scan results to decide", said Gul. — Principal Correspondent
