Brajesh triumphs

Madurai: Brajesh of TVS Lakshmi School won the sub-junior boys’ singles title defeating S. Balakrishnan of SBOA Matriculation HSS 11-9, 11-9, 11-5 in the final of the district-level open table tennis tournament, organised by the MDTTA, here on Thursday.

Others results (all finals):

Mini-cadet boys: Hariharan (SDAT) bt Dayal Babu 11-9, 11-7, 11-6.

Cadet girls: Kavya (SDAT) bt S.N. Srinidhi (SDAT) 11-7, 11-8, 12-10.

Mini-cadet girls: S.N. Srinidhi bt KavithaKumari (Jain School) 11-6, 11-8, 11-3.

Sports & games meet

The 17th annual sports and games meet for schoolboys and girls, organised by the Coimbatore District Sports and Games Welfare Association (CDSGWA), will be held during the first week of August.
