THANJAVUR: Tirunelveli defeated Tiruvananthapuram 25-20, 25-22, 25-18 to win the title at the 24th LIC South zone inter-division volleyball tournament here on Friday.

The results: Final: Tirunelveli bt Thiruvananthapuram 25-20, 25-22, 25-18. Third place: Kottayam bt Madurai 25-16, 22-25, 25-13, 25-16. Semifinals: Tirunelveli bt Kottayam 12-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-14, 15-10; Thiruvananthapuram bt Madurai 25-13, 25-17, 25-21.
