NEW DELHI: Raj Kumar, the domestic help of Dr. Rajesh Talwar’s family friends, Durranis, was arrested on Friday by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case. The investigating agency said blood stains of human origin were found on a washed white T-shirt seized from Raj Kumar’s room. Talking to reporters, CBI Joint Director (Special Crime) Arun Kumar said Raj Kumar was subjected to a lie-detector test at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi on June 14. He was then put to a second polygraph test besides psychological assessment, brain-mapping and narco-analysis in the Forensic Science Laboratory at Gandhinagar in Gujarat earlier this week. Based on the findings of these tests, the agency arrested Raj Kumar on Friday. Mr. Arun Kumar said a washed white T-shirt was seized from Raj Kumar’s room in Sector 53 of Noida on June 13 and sent for forensic examination. Forensic experts found that it contained blood of human origin. The T-shirt has now been sent to the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics in Hyderabad for advanced tests. Earlier on Friday, Raj Kumar and Krishna, the compounder of Dr. Talwar who was arrested for alleged involvement in the case on June 13, were taken to the dentist’s Sector 25 house in Noida for reconstruction of the scene of crime. Krishna, whose four-day police remand ended on Friday, was then produced before a special court in neighbouring Ghaziabad. The court sent him to judicial custody till July 11.
