BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Government on Friday released traffic advisory for passengers restricting movements of vehicles on three days during Car Festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri. Alerting light vehicle owners, passenger bus operators and other transporters taking different road routes to Puri, the Home Department said movements of vehicle and parking would be controlled three dates such as on July 4 (Car Festival), July 12 (Gundicha Yatra) and July 13 (Suna Besa). All the passengers coming from Bhubaneswar to Puri would use National Highway 203 and park their vehicles at demarcated place and all VVIPs would return on that route only, the press statement said. Similarly, Puri-bound buses would have to take a turn from Biraharekrishnapur on NH-203, pass through new Nabakalebar Road and park at Talabania. Other vehicles using Konark Marine Drive Road would approach Talabania by taking a turn from Puri Grid Station. Only a few light vehicles would be allowed to enter into Puri . No vehicle travelling on New Jagannath Road would be allowed to touch NH-203 at Birapratappur . Usual routes of buses and other vehicles coming from Berhampur and Nayagarh have been changed. Goods carrier will not be allowed to move on the roads passing through Puri on these days.
