KOCHI: Six employees of two private buses were arrested on charges of fighting on the road and causing traffic disruption on Friday. Those arrested by the Ernakulam Town Central were identified as Jayadevan, 34, of Kumbalam; Ranjith, 25, of Udumbanchola; Hafiz, 20, of Vazhakkala; Krishnakumar, 24, of Elamkunnapuzha; Boban, 27, of Udumbanchola; and Voni, 30, of Thripunithura. They were employees of buses Maria and Arafa. According to the police, they entered into a scuffle over bus timing and started fighting at Menaka Junction after holding up the traffic. The buses were also taken into custody. The employees were later released on bail.
