University auditorium for rent

KARAIKUDI: The Alagappa University has decided to rent out the L.CT.L. Palaniappa Chettiar Memorial Auditorium, which was constructed and donated by the Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, for public.
The state of the art auditorium has various facilities such as centralised air-conditioning facility, public address system, lighting arrangements, acoustic systems, comfortable cushion seating arrangements and amble car parking facilities.
The seating capacity of the auditorium is 555.
In a statement, E. Ilamathian, Registrar, said banks, schools, colleges, government departments, public sector undertakings in Sivaganga District and others could utilise this auditorium by paying reasonable rent along with electricity charges.
An administrative committee had been formed under the leadership of P. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor. P. Karthik Chidambaram, N. Sundaram, MLA, Karaikudi constituency, Muthu Palaniappan, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce, Karaikudi, and two Syndicate members would be its members. E. Ilamathian, Registrar, would be the member-secretary.
