TIRUCHI: Extension activities help students gain a good understanding of the society, the Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Tiruchi, M. Bava Mohideen, said.

Highlighting the significance of societal interface at the inaugural of the Part-V and Extension and Extracurricular activities for the first-year undergraduate students of Jamal Mohamed College earlier this week, Prof. Mohideen observed that while NSS activities help students keep in touch with realities in the society, NCC fosters patriotism and discipline. Likewise, the latent talent of students surface when they take part in fine arts activities.

Those who work hard during student days and make use of opportunities to realise their capabilities would easily succeed in finding good jobs, he said, adding that only such kind of students would be able to progress well in their career.

Students have to work towards an aim, Prof. Mohideen said.
