Motorcyclist killed

CHENNAI: A motorcyclist was fatally knocked down by a Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus on Friday morning near Anna Arivalayam, Teynampet.

According to the police, S. Muthumani (34), of Rajapalayam, lived in his uncle’s house in Teynampet. He was on his way to his mechanic shop on Tiruvallur Salai around 7.30 a.m. when the bus (route no.A51) from Tambaram to High Court hit his two-wheeler, killing him on the spot. Pondy Bazaar police have arrested the driver of the bus, L. Manoharan (56).
