Need for ‘acceptable solution’
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: While acknowledging that the government was aware of time constraints in concluding the Indo-U.S. civilian nuclear deal, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukheree on Friday said it was necessary for all political parties to arrive at an “acceptable solution.”
“I hope discussions with all political parties concerned would make it possible to arrive at an acceptable solution,” he said replying to a question on the impasse, during a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, here.
“We are aware of the time constraints but keeping in view the concerns expressed by different sections, we are addressing them adequately,” Mr. Mukherjee said.
