Congress will remain in DPA, says Elangovan

Special Correspondent

VILLUPURAM: Union Minister of State for Textiles E.V.K.S. Elangovan has categorically said that the Congress will continue to remain in the Democratic Progressive Alliance led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

He was inaugurating the Esalam Handloom Cluster here on Friday.

Asked whether the DPA would accommodate any more political parties within its fold, Mr. Elangovan did not rule out the possibility.

Asked whether he anticipated snap polls to the Lok Sabha, Mr. Elangovan said the Congress was ready to face elections any time.

In response to a question about the change in leadership in the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, Mr. Elangovan said senior leader Vayalar Ravi had already hinted at it and it might happen in a couple of days.
