Rahim League football from July 5

HYDERABAD: Rahim League football championship for A-Division teams will commence from July 5 at Trimulgherry Village Grounds, according to a press release.

A meeting in this connection is convened on June 29 to pick the draws and all the secretaries of the affiliated units and the registered referees of AP Football Association are to attend the meeting. For details contact Anis-ul-Mulq, secretary of APFA.

5-wkt win for NMDC

NMDC recorded a five-wicket win over Tata XI in the fourth Champions Trophy Twenty20 cricket tournament for corporate groups organised by Sportz Unlimited here.

The scores: Bank of America 222 for four (Sridhar 57, Kalyan 47, Amresh 42, Sanjeev 65) bt Vertex 121 for seven (Rajesh 41).

Yash Technologies 171 for three (Ambarish 79, Pankaj 65) bt IBM 141 for nine.

Kun 185 for five (Manoj 61, Rashid 40) bt Dell 127.

Tata XI 142 for seven (Vishnu 61) lost to NMDC 146 for five (Murali 46).

HCA League

Hyderabad Cricket Association said that the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship matches for 2008-09 will commence from July 7 at different venues in the City.

The draw copy is on display in the HCA office at Gymkhana Grounds. Hence, all the participating teams are to collect the copies and also get the players names registered and obtain the identity cards.
