Tuition fee will go up 10 per cent every year New fee applicable for those admitted in 2008-09 Thiruvananthapuram: The State government has issued orders revising the annual fee in government medical, dental, nursing and allied colleges for the academic year 2008-09. It has made it clear that the tuition fee will go up 10 per cent every year. The revised annual fee for MBBS is Rs.25,000. Its break-up is as follows : tuition fee — Rs. 20,000, caution deposit — Rs.2,000 (refundable), van fee — Rs.1,500 and other fee — Rs.1,500. For BDSFor BDS, the revised annual fee is Rs.23,000. It consists of a tuition fee of Rs.18,000, caution deposit of Rs.2,000 (refundable), van fee of Rs.1,500 and other fee of Rs.1,500 each. In the case of B.Pharm., the revised annual fee is Rs.20,000 of which the tuition fee comes to Rs.15,000, caution deposit to Rs.2,000 (refundable) and van fee and other fee Rs.1,500 each. The same fee structure is applicable for the B.Sc. (Nursing) course also. The revised annual for the B.Sc. MLT course is Rs.18,000. Its components are as follows : tuition fee — Rs.13,000, caution deposit — Rs.2000 (refundable), and van and other fee Rs1,500 each. The revised fee will be applicable for those who are admitted for the courses during the academic year 2008-09.
