Rs. 2.13 crore sanctioned as second instalment of NREGS

In Pudukottai district
PUDUKOTTAI: The Centre has released Rs.2.13 crore towards the second instalment for the implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in Pudukottai district.
In a press release issued here on Saturday, Collector Reeta Harish Thakkur said that 60 village panchayats in 13 blocks in the district had been identified for the second phase of the NREGS.
On the achievement of the first phase of the scheme introduced with an initial sanction of Rs.2.42 crore in April this year, the Collector said that 22 out of the total 65 works had been completed so far.
