Five arrested

The Rajamangalam police have arrested four persons who allegedly waylaid a man on March 14 near Korattur bridge and robbed him of Rs.2.80 lakh.

Police said M. Raja, R. Viswanathan, M. Mani, and P. Amos were employed in the victim, Jaffer Khan’s shop. A total of Rs.1.21 lakh was recovered from them.

In another incident, a complaint had been lodged by Pramod on May 17, stating that his laptop and cell phone had been stolen from his house . On Friday, police arrested Nagaraj near EVR Salai and recovered the laptop .
