D. Nagabanu Dinesh performing 400 head flips in 55 minutes at a public demonstration in the city on Saturday. VISAKHAPATNAM: Ten-year-old D. Nagabhanu Dinesh is set to enter the Limca Book of Records for doing 400 head flips (somersaults) in less than an hour. Dinesh amazed every one by completing the target (400 head flips in one hour) in just 55 minutes flat here on Saturday. Great goingA confident Dinesh began the feat even as Mayor P. Janardhana Rao, Standing Committee member of GVMC G.V. Ravi Raju, former corporator A. Appala Raju and others gave him a standing ovation. He was given a few minutes break after every 50 head flips. Though he was thoroughly exhausted, he seemed nonchalant and concentrated on his goal all the time. He completed the first 50 flips in just 3 minutes and 58 seconds and bettered the second 50 by three minutes 37 seconds. There was a glow on his face as his school management announced during the break that it would bear the boy’s entire education expenditure till Std. X. He had every reason to be happy. His father Srinivas was a worker in the Cargo Handling Private Workers’ Pool of Visakhapatnam Port Trust and the announcement was a great relief to him. A student of Std. VI at Guru’s EMF Public School at Vepagunta, Dinesh was inspired to do the feat after seeing his friend K. Gautam Kumar walk on his hands with his feet up in the air for five km in two hours and 50 minutes from Appu Ghar to Kali temple on the Beach Road. He wanted to do something different and his objective was the Limca Book. His karate coach Bora Pratap also encouraged him in this regard.
