Indiramma third phase from July 1

VISAKHAPATNAM: The third phase of Indiramma programme would be held from July 1 to 17 in the district, Minister for Commercial Taxes Konathala Ramakrishna said at a press conference here on Saturday.
Earlier, Mr. Ramakrishna held a review meeting with the officials and wanted them to complete all arrangements by June 30.
A total of 262 wards in gram panchayats and 22 in municipalities, covering a population of 8,13,613 would be covered under the III phase. Pensions for senior citizens, widows, weavers and disabled pensions, housing, electrification, water supply, schools, anganwadis, etc. would be covered under the programme.
Tendering process for 12,000 out of 15,000 houses under the JNNURM was completed. Technical report on the international airport planned near the city was received, he said. Meanwhile the Government would soon take a decision on the place where the airport would come up. Sites near Bhogapuram and S. Rayavaram were under consideration.
