Karate
Chennai: A 16-member Indian team will take part in the first karate Youth World Cup to be held in Eva Island, Greece, from July 1 to 4. R. Thiagarajan, president of all-India Karate-Do Federation, will be chef de-mission of the team. Additionally, Mr. Thiagarajan will be the chief guest at the Okinawa Karate and Kobudo Association’s seminar at Kelheim, Germany, to be held from July 5 to 7. The team: Shrishti Prashant Godbole, Vinita Alias Natalia, Monali Rana Ray, Nancy Dalal, Vishal Kothari, Sparsh Mehta, Angad Veer Surendranath, Maitrey Kundalia, Sanaya Kapadia, Vashishta Kapadia, Rhea Palak Bakshi, Soni Dayal, Aditi Seth, Raju Govindasamy Anandhakannan, Ponnusamy Srikandh, Muthukumar Kiruthika.
