Man charged with murder

NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a young driver in Welcome Colony here earlier this month.

According to the police, 20-year-old Monu used to harass his employer’s sister-in-law and refused to mend his ways despite warnings. His behaviour infuriated the girl’s brother, Aqeel, who shot Monu on June 17. Monu was admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Aqeel is from Meerut in U.P. and deals in garments.
