Cable operator hacked to death at Bapujinagar Crime Notes
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: A 34-year-old cable operator, a member of the Karnataka Youth Congress, was hacked to death at Bapujinagar in Byatarayanapura police station limits on Friday night.
The police said that B. Chandrashekar had gone to attend the birthday party of his brother Venkatesh’s son nearby. As soon as he returned home around 11.45 p.m., he got a call on his mobile phone.
Even as he was talking outside his house, five men attacked him with machetes. Chandrashekar died on the spot.
Mr. Venkatesh has filed a complaint with the police. The motive behind the attack is not known.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Harishekaran has formed two teams to arrest the accused. The police said Chandrashekar was an aspirant for the post of secretary of the Youth Congress and he was to go to Delhi.

The police said Nandini, who works in a biscuit-making unit, was electrocuted when she was switching on a machine at the work place. She was brought to the hospital, where she died.
