Anti-drug abuse day

COIMBATORE: The Field Publicity Office, Coimbatore, Erode and the Nilgiris, observed the International Day against Drug Abuse at S.K.N Higher Secondary School in Peedampally near Coimbatore.

A.Anandan, Psychologist at the Kasturba Gandhi De-addiction Centre, Varadarajapuram, stressed that drug abuse prevention was better than cure. 150 students took oath to start a person-to-persom awareness movement against drugs in the Peedampally village panchayat area.

K.Parameswaran, Field Publicity Officer, presided over the function.
