Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday paid glowing tributes to ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ Maharaja Ranjit Singh on his 169th death anniversary. Remembering the great ruler, Badal said that the four decade long rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Punjab had become an ideal for all Governments to emulate. Local Bodies, Industry and Commerce Minister Manoranjan Kalia also joined the Chief Minister in remembering the indelible contribution of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the history of Punjab. –PTI
